Connect Solutions Ltd ("Connect", "we") respects your privacy. This notice explains how we use personal information, as required by Bermuda's Personal Information Protection Act 2016 (PIPA).

What we collect

Contact and consultation forms: your name, email, phone number and property address, plus anything you tell us about your project.
Instant estimate tool: the property and equipment details you enter.
Chat assistant: your questions are answered on your own device; your chat history is stored only in your browser and is not sent to us.
Enquiries from social media: if you respond to one of our advertisements, we receive the contact details you submit.
Client records: if you become a client, we keep records of your installation, equipment, invoices and our correspondence.
Website analytics: we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used.

Why we use it

To respond to your enquiry, prepare proposals and estimates, carry out and support installations, provide monitoring and maintenance services you have signed up for, invoice and keep proper business records, and improve our website and services. We do not sell personal information, full stop.

Who we share it with

Trusted service providers who help us run the business: HubSpot (client management), Intuit QuickBooks (invoicing), Microsoft 365 (email), Google (analytics), Meta (advertising), and Vercel (website hosting). Each holds information only to provide its service to us.

Where it is stored

Some providers store information outside Bermuda (mainly the United States). Where that happens, we take reasonable steps as required by PIPA to make sure your information stays protected to a comparable standard.

Monitoring and support services

If you subscribe to our monitoring or maintenance services, we can remotely access your network and security system - including camera systems - to keep them healthy and respond to problems. We access them only for that purpose.

How we protect it

Access is limited to our small team, protected by strong authentication, and we review our safeguards regularly. If a breach ever put your information at risk, we would notify you and the Privacy Commissioner as PIPA requires.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become projects are kept for up to two years. Client and financial records are kept as long as Bermuda law requires, then deleted.

Your rights

You may ask us at any time to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for a particular purpose. Email our privacy officer and we will respond promptly. You may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Bermuda (privacy.bm) if you are not satisfied with our answer.

Children

Our services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
