Connect Solutions Ltd (operating as Connect Ltd, "Connect", "we", "us", or "our") is a Bermuda-registered business providing UniFi network and security system installations. This policy explains what information we collect from clients and prospects, how we use it, and how we treat data when our internal tools connect to third-party services like QuickBooks.
What we collect
- Contact information you give us during a site walk-through or proposal: name, phone, email, mailing address.
- Project information: site notes, equipment quantities, pricing, deposit and balance amounts on accepted proposals.
- Payment-related metadata: invoice numbers, payment status, due dates. We do not store credit card numbers; payments are handled by your bank or by QuickBooks.
- Communications: emails you send us and our replies, which we retain for service-history reference.
How we use it
We use your information solely to prepare your proposal, complete the install, invoice you for the work, and provide ongoing support. We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing.
Third-party services we integrate with
Our internal tools connect to the following services to do work on our behalf:
- QuickBooks Online (Intuit) - we create invoices in QuickBooks for accepted proposals and completed installs. Connect's internal Invoice Bot uses Intuit's official OAuth 2.0 authorization to read and write only the data needed to create and track invoices for our own QuickBooks company file. We do not access any QuickBooks company file other than Connect Solutions Ltd's own. Intuit's privacy practices apply to data stored within QuickBooks itself - see Intuit's Global Privacy Statement at intuit.com/privacy/statement.
- HubSpot - we keep client contact information and deal history in HubSpot's CRM.
- Microsoft 365 / OneDrive - proposal and invoice documents are stored in Connect's OneDrive.
- Vercel - this website is hosted on Vercel. Vercel logs incoming HTTP requests in line with their privacy policy.
Data retention
We keep client records for as long as a working relationship exists, plus seven years for accounting and tax compliance under Bermuda law. You can request deletion of your records at any time by emailing us at Office at connect.bm ; we will delete what we are not legally required to retain.
Security
Client information is stored on encrypted devices and password-protected cloud services. Access is limited to Connect Solutions Ltd staff. We have not experienced a data breach to date and have controls in place to detect unauthorized access. If a breach were ever to occur, we would notify affected clients without unreasonable delay.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time what we hold about you, request a copy, ask us to correct anything inaccurate, or ask us to delete what we have. Email Office at connect.bm and we will respond within five business days.
Children
Our services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
If we materially change how we handle data, we will update this page and revise the "last updated" date. For QuickBooks integration specifically, any change in scope of data we access will be re-authorized by Connect Solutions Ltd through Intuit's standard OAuth flow.
